If you’re looking for your new weekend binge-watch, look no further than Scott Free’s latest production, The Man in the High Castle, which premiered on Amazon last Friday.
The series has been lauded by critics already, with a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. David Bianculli at NPR proclaims that it is “the best new drama of this 2015 crop, and a show well worth watching,” while Jeff Jensen at Entertainment Weekly cites the series as “serious-minded sci-fi that’s stylish and strange and soulful, and only grows more rewarding over time.”
In parts science fiction and in parts thriller, the series follows an imagined world in which the Axis powers won World War II and the United States has been partitioned into three separate territories run by the Japanese, Nazis, and a neutral zone.
Starring Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank and DJ Qualls, the series was developed at Scott Free and based off of the book by the same name from Philip K. Dick. You can stream all ten episodes of the series starting this Friday with your Amazon Prime subscription. Don’t miss the show that’s being referred to as “must-see streaming TV.”
