Ian Winstanley’s TV ad campaign for Morrisons through Publicis London came at just the right time. The nation was revelling in uninterrupted sunshine and a flourishing World Cup campaign, and Morrisons unabashed celebration of everything British perfectly played into the feeling of national pride.
Celebrating the supermarket chain’s British suppliers, Winstanley travelled the British countryside photographing the real people who supply Morrisons with their daily produce. From the fishermen to the florists, Morrisons proudly documents their supply chain with the campaign line “What we make, makes us who we are”.
The film, an excellent example of photography and production expertise at the Ridley Scott Creative Group, picked up Campaign Magazine’s coveted Pick of the Week, alongside a five star David Reviews rating and Pick of the Day.
