Baillie’s signature is a mix of technical craftsmanship, dramatic precision and wicked humour. His cutting-edge pieces always display a distinctive style and cinematic vision, from his earliest music videos for Massive Attack, Boy George and INXS to his award-winning film for New Order.
In the more recent past he has worked with Kylie Minogue for her hit “Slow”, and most recently he teamed up with old pals Massive Attack again.
Baillie’s film work includes Mirror Mirror – Limitation of Life, which drew international acclaim and was selected for the Berlin and Toronto Film festivals and Lord Don’t Slow Me Down, a fly-on-the-wall look at the band Oasis.
In 2008 Baillie’s debut feature Flashbacks Of A Fool, which he both wrote and directed, was released worldwide by Miramax.
Past projects include the multi award-winning Levi’s commercial Taxi and a stunning hologram of Kate Moss projected into a three-meter high glass pyramid for Alexander McQueen’s catwalk.
Recent projects include directing Daniel Craig as Bond for Sony Bravia through Fallon and Jenson Button for Johnnie Walker’s Keep Walking campaign through BBH. He’s currently preparing to shoot the new Cadbury’s Flake campaign for Fallon.
