Shih-Ting Hung is an award winning director with a very strong art direction, to portrait her poetic and yet well crafted visual journeys. Born and raised on a small isolated fisherman’s island Pescadores, Taiwan, Hung drew since age of 4, dreaming about an Utopia where sky breaks in half with broad daylight and raven night existing at the same time.
Hung then left hometown as a young painter to pursue filmmaking at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, USA.
Hung's first film " VIOLA: the Travelling Rooms of a Little Giant (2008)” grabbed her the renowned Student Academy Award®, the cover of the Academy Report from AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences), and a projected digital showcase onto the New York Guggenheim Museum's iconic exterior curved wall .
Hung's multi-culture living experiences between Asia, USA, and Europe also gave her an international scope to tell stories with an unique eye.
Hung joined RSA Films in 2009 and commercial clients include Warner Brothers Records, Sony PlayStation for Harry Potter, and so on.
