Shih-Ting Hung is an award winning director with distinguishable surreal visual styles with strong sense of art direction. Born and raised on a fisherman’s island Pescadores, Taiwan, Hung left her hometown as a painter to pursue filmmaking at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, USA.
Her first film "VIOLA: the Travelling Rooms of a Little Giant” grabbed her the renowned Student Academy Award® and the cover of the Academy Report, swiping more than 10 awards and 20 nominations around 90 international film festivals to date.
Her ability to combine live action & VFX for an emotional coming-of-age quality of storytelling also attracts art museums such as the Guggenheim Museum New York, Taipei MOCA and Singapore Art Museum to showcase her works.
Hung joined RSA Films in 2009 and commercial clients include Warner Brothers Records, Sony PlayStation for Harry Potter, and so on.
