Raised on wheat germ and Bob Dylan in the Anonymous Midwest. Came to New York in 1999 to study film at NYU. Went to West Africa in 2004 and shot a documentary about “spiritual tourism.” After school, moved to Brooklyn & started Waverly Films with 6 friends from NYU.

The first good music video he directed was for The Juan Maclean’s  “Give Me Every Little Thing.” He has made his three best music videos for the Rapture.   Among them, “WAYUH” was nominated for ’06 MVPAs BEST POP VIDEO but lost to Justin Timberlake. Also, “WAYUH” appeared on pretty much every single “best of ‘06” list.

His video for LCD Soundsystem’s “North American Scum” was nominated for Best Dance Video for CADS ’07 and, more significantly, proves that the moon landing was a hoax.

His video for !!! originally featured satanic rituals and lots of female nudity but was mercilessly edited by the conservative old farts at WARP records.

He has also done videos for Supersystem, Blood of Abraham, and Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party. Made commercial spots for Absolut, VH1, MTV, and the Rapture. Work has been featured in the Fader Magazine, RES, Boards, Promo, etc. Continues to make short clips with Waverly to satisfy the faceless masses of YouTube Waverly fans.

Ben is semi-actively seeking enlightenment but also likes to drink alcohol.
