Alex trained originally as a graphic designer and his talents first came to light while working within the film industry on various features designing vernacular graphics for sets.

Following on from these early days, his distinctive style of design has been employed across a range of mediums and products as both an art director and designer including clothing design, album covers, logos, computer modelling and animation and photo manipulation. Record labels include: Warp Records, Sony Music, One Little Indian Records, Parlophone.
More recently Alex has concentrated his skills on producing highly original experimental films including ‘3space’ and ‘monocodes’, both of which have been extensively exhibited around the world including the onedotzero festival held at institute of contemporary arts.
His ground breaking debut promo for Autechre’s single ‘Gantz Graf’ received immediate industry recognition and placed him firmly in the frame as a new talent to watch for both music videos and commercials. Additionally, Alex also designed the covers for Autechre's albums Draft 7.30 and Untilted.
Alex went on to create the video for Radiohead’s single “Go To Sleep” before directing his latest piece of work, a commercial to launch the Sony’s PSP handheld gaming console.
Recent commercials clients include Bacardi and Dodge Motors and he is currently working on a series of CGI experimental short films, installation projects and paintings.
