Lauri Faggioni is an award-winning director, production designer and choreographer, and is among today’s emerging pioneers in the creative world.

She started her career as a fiber artist, owning Lake an arts and antiques store in New York City. Discovered by famed French director Michel Gondry, she was asked to make props in his films.

Faggioni went on to collaborate on additional stop motion animation work with Gondry as well as projects with renowned director Johan Renck. Her work in Gondry’s musical documentary DAVE CHAPPELLE’S BLOCK PARTY and the surreal film THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP garnered significant press accolades. She was nominated for both an MTV Award and MVPA award for her first music video production design (Steriogram’s Walkie Talkie Man). She later expanded into choreography on Gary Jules’ Mad World, for which she received her second MVPA award, and has done work for musical artists Bright Eyes and Robbie Williams.

Her music video directing debut, Devendra Banhart’s “A Ribbon”, earned her MVPA nominations for Directorial Debut, Best Video Under $25,000 and won the award for Best Animated Video it also premiered in a film exhibition at New York’s The Museum of Modern Art.

She has done commercial work for brands including H&M, Escada, EDF and Talk Talk. Most recently, she was the production designer on Renck’s feature film DOWNLOADING NANCY (starring Maria Bello and Jason Patric), which premiered at Sundance.

A native of Georgia, Faggioni lives in New York City.
