Ridley and Tony Scott are Executive Producing (through Scott Free Films) a unique experiment in filmmaking called "Life in a Day". The  film will be directed by Oscar winner Kevin Macdonald.

On Saturday 24 July, YouTube is asking anyone with a camera, from all over the world to capture a day in their life, and upload the footage to Youtube.  Kevin will then cut the most compelling footage into a feature length documentary that  will premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and simultaneously on Youtube and at selected cinemas. It will be the world's first ever user-generated feature film.
