Christian Larson is a Swedish film director, editor and photographer. He has directed seminal music videos for the likes of Sigur Rós, Kylie Minogue, Icona Pop and Swedish House Mafia. His commercial work includes films, photography and adverts for clients such as Cartier, Mercedes Benz, H&M, Beats by Dre, Agent Provocateur and i-D Magazine.
Christian’s documentary ‘Take One’ from 2010 reached cult status in the electronic dance music world. The film was dubbed “Spinal Tap for the acid house generation” by The Times UK. His 2014 debut feature-length film ‘Leave The World Behind’ was officially selected for the SXSW film festival before topping the iTunes chart and being broadcasted on US network Showtime.
As a film editor, he’s been a collaborator with renowned director Jonas Åkerlund on work such as the Grammy- and Emmy-nominated concert film ON THE RUN featuring Beyoncé & Jay-Z, the indie feature film Small Apartments as well as projects for Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, Abba, Rammstein, Tailor Swift and Dior.
Amongst other awards, Christian was awarded a Swedish Grammy for his writing and direction on the 2013 Sigur Rós short ‘Valtari’. Christian lives and works between Stockholm, London and LA.
