Natasja is a photographer, a writer and director.
Natasja’s work is predominantly focused on people and is provocative and powerful, creating an immersive world and tone whilst often hinting at an emotional narrative.
Natasja has an uninhibited approach to her photography and film work. Her singular eye pushes and provokes ideas around identity, sexuality and femininity. Hailing from a strong background in art photography she effortlessly transfers her timeless, yet fresh and striking, images to her commercial and editorial work.
Some career highlights include:
A photo based project in association with Colors Magazine and Reporters Without Borders was exhibited at the Pompidou Centre, Paris, The Milan Triennale, the Shanghai Art Museum and the Shiodomeitalia Creative Center, Tokyo. The work was later published by Birkhäuser in the book ‘Faces and Violence’.
Natasja was the first recipient of the ScreenCraft and Beverly Hills-based media financier Bondit’s Short Film Production Fund for 13, a film written and directed by Fourie.
Her personal work has been exhibited widely including New York Photo Festival, Arles Photo Festival and Los Angeles Photo Festival.
Recent clients include: L’Orèal Paris, Urban Decay, ES Magazine, Nowness, American Apparel, Mirage Magazine, Telegraph Magazine, Notion Magazine and Colors Magazine.
Natasja is based in London and is commercially represented by RSA Films.
