Jacknife first started producing hand screenprinted gig posters back in 2006 when founding member Chris Hopewell visited Flatstock at SXSW in Austin, Texas. He was so impressed by the screen print gig posters he saw there that he went home and bought an old French screen printing deck off Ebay and started printing during downtime at his Bristol film studio. Chris had been making music videos for the likes of The Killers and Radiohead so it seemed like a natural transition. Over the last 11 years Jacknife has incorporated many other artists and currently has 5 designers producing and hand screen printing for a diverse range of bands and artists – these include
Foo Fighters – Radiohead – The Who – Queens of the Stone Age – Wilko Johnson – Beirut – Public Service Broadcasting – Midlake – The Horrors – Eagles of Death Metal – Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Blur – Brody Dalle – Seasick Steve – Last shadow Puppets – Mudhoney – Hinds – God Speed you.. – la Roux – The Bronx – EODM –
As well as gig posters Chris and the team also design branding for festivals, album cover art and tattoos.
