RSA Films’ Work Honored at Cannes International Festival of Creativity

This year’s Cannes Lions saw RSA productions win several awards.

Adobe’s ‘In The Time It Takes To Get There’ won Bronze in the Social & Influencer category for Social Film. Directed and written by Zach Braff, the entertaining and imaginative short centers on a 19th century social media influencer played by Florence Pugh, and also stars Alicia Silverstone, “The Office’s” Leslie David Baker and Andy King of Netflix’s FRYE documentary. And adding to the creative firepower, Academy Award-winning cinematographer Mauro Fiore.

‘In The Time It Takes To Get There’ was inspired by Boston University student Sam West’s winning poster from agency Pereira O’Dell and Adobe Creative Cloud’s #MoviePosterMovie contest campaign, which celebrates spontaneous inspiration and creativity. The film was also shortlisted for Film Craft/Script, Entertainment/Fiction Film and Talent, and Social & Influencer/Innovative Use of Influencers and Consumer Durables.

Ridley Scott’s sensory odyssey for Hennessy – ‘The Seven Worlds’ – was awarded a Bronze Film Craft Lion for Visual Effects from MPC and received two shortlists in the general Film category for broadcast and online. The epic short film directed by Ridley Scott via agency DDB Paris creates a visual journey that explores Hennessy’s seven tasting notes in a surreal, sensorial and immersive narrative. It was lauded for its originality and aesthetic by a wide range of media tastemakers, with Muse by CLIO describing the film as ‘ … a surreal and sumptuous marvel.’ The broadcast version debuted during the Oscars.

And Jamie Delaney’s ‘U+U+’ ViiV Healthcare campaign picked up the Silver Pharma Lion. This follows from being awarded one of only two Golds given out for Film Advertising at the Creative Pool Awards in May. The campaign, created with healthcare agency of the year Havas Lynx, is aimed at people living with HIV, to communicate the benefits of the Undetectable=Untransmittable, message and what this means in their everyday lives, for them and their loved ones.
